Video Editing
A collection of projects that best underline my video editing capabilities

Read and Write Kalamazoo Promo
Within a team of volunteers, I acted as the lead editor on this video for the nonprofit Read and Write Kalamazoo. To produce it, we met with kids in their "reader rooms" to capture footage promoting the organization.
I put together the final video in Premiere Pro alongside Procreate and After Effects for the opening animation and closing motion graphic. Incorporating these production skills into nonprofit work unlocked a hidden passion to contribute back to my community using media.

Grand Rapids Comic Con Music Video
Being hired by the Alamo Studio in Kalamazoo, I worked as one of the primary camera operators to cover the Grand Rapids Comic Con. In addition to filming, I took the lead in editing a music video that would be uploaded to the con's official YouTube channel.
The majority of the editing was done in Premiere Pro, with additional special effects created in After Effects. I enjoyed many things about this event, especially meeting people in cosplay and encouraging them to participate in the video. Those interactions truly helped me highlight the creative spirit of the event during post.

The Story of
Ann Shackleton Baxter
I created this video sharing the story of one of my ancestors for a family tree research project. Discovering her life was fascinating, and I was ecstatic to work on it with my grandmother's help.
I designed all the motion graphics in After Effects and edited the footage, graphics, and voiceover in Premiere Pro. This project is one of my favorites and highlights my storytelling, motion design, and video editing skills.

Sk8 Core
"Sk8 Core" is the first ever short film I produced completely on my own. To orchestrate the project, I took on every responsibility from writing the script and casting actors, to filming and finally editing the last cut. Despite the difficulty, the film was incredibly rewarding and a joy to accomplish with my friends.
